The 'Magic' Box

The 'Era' has begun with one for the ages, a dynasty was established, and we saw the most important game in NFL history. It wasn't because of the players on the field, the fans in the Vegas stands, or that thankfully, the refs didn't screw it up... it was momentous because of the sound of Swift.
Taylor Swift is the icon of this generation, with support that can be testified by the voices at her concerts. After watching football Thursday-Monday for the last 4 months, I decided to spend my Saturday night leading up to Super Bowl Sunday not watching the highlights from the success of the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs seasons, but rather, the Taylor Swift 'Eras' tour special. I coughed up $19.89 to watch and see what she stirred up, and apart from the packed SoFi Stadium concert, I saw something I did not necessarily expect, TEARS.
Well, we all watched the fateful game on a February Sunday afternoon highlighted with commercials, food, friends, and of course... football. The game was epic. 19-19 going into overtime, the niners failed to put the ball in the endzone, settling for a field goal, and putting the ball in the hands of the aspiring GOAT.
Like any game, countless elements went into deciding a winner and a loser. There was a missed PAT, a post halftime (Usher was awesome!) pick, and a game that seemed to ride on a foot as the KC special teams recovered the M-UFFIN punt.

Funny... I am standing outside taking my minute stress test, and I look up at the Northwest clouds. Some were dark and ominous, others were puffy and white, and some were just whips in the sky, lol. One of those moments when you recognize there is a whole world out there, and up there, you bite your lip and tell yourself "its just a game." Makes every breathe feel like a gamble. Little did Ray-Ray McCloud III know, that when he looked to the sky to catch a punt, it would bounce off a foot as "PETER" fell on deaf ears. Sports are funny, in that people look for divine direction towards helping their favorite team win, and every Sunday you see (the less famous) football strap it up, and BELIEVE like Ted Lasso.

So a game like that will inevitably draw emotion, it also drew fans, viewers, and dollars for the National Football League. We saw plays and points, but most importantly, we saw Tay 12 times, there to support her boy toy Travis Kelce. Their relationship has created a whirlwind of attraction and attention that fans have caught it like a touchdown. This is the yard down the street:

Confetti falls and eyes well up and a trophy is raised, and sadly another glorious football season comes to a climactic finish. Not only was it a classic battle, set in 'Sin City', and claimed record setting ratings... it brought people together for one of our nations most honored traditions. My house holds 4 boys and sports takeover the tube, but my favorite commercial recognizes the dynamic between fathers and daughters, and what made the 'Traylor' craze pal pa able.
FYI- Travis Kelce #87 jersey sales jumped 400% this season
Travis bought his mom the box, Taylor flew in from her Tokyo Tour, and Jason tried to be proud... but we'll find out the real story on their podcast. $7 million for a commercial, $1000 for a nose bleed, and maybe you bet the over (46.5 and they scored 47), but what was most important for me... is that I BOUGHT IT!
