Having the time of my Life!

There's not a lot of people who got to say they got to go back to college. I was one of them. U of O was college. U Dub was school. While I spent my time as a student at University of Washington, I spent most of my time on Zoom. This was not the ideal environment, for me, to complete my education... but it provided independence, introspection into my classmates, and an outlet for this turbulent COVID time. So yes, if i went back to college I would have played more beer pong and smoked more weed, but going back to school facilitated the skills and perspective that made my 'academic experience' whole.

Time Flies

When you're having fun? That should be hard to describe, because for each person it is different. Hopefully, you will find people that enjoy those same situations that you find pleasurable. But also, cherish the moments that make that point and time special, to always remember... for your stories at the retirement home.

Turn back the hands of Time

Hindsight is 20/20. That means that you can evaluate your past actions with a better understanding of its impact and implications on what happens in the future. I woulda/coulda/shoulda is something everyone has thought. But what is more important, is how you see things NOW because you have had that experience, and had that kind of reflection.

Nothing good happens after Midnight

This is for the Dad's out there who lie on their pillow and can't close their eyes until their daughter is home. There used to be this commercial:

With the age of cell phones, this situation is much more manageable. I want to give my daughter a license plate that says 12CRFEW... I figure that would get the message across. Not only that, but she would drive a Nissan Altima just to reiterate that we were conscientious about where and when she experienced her nightly escapades. Helicopter parents... no... but transparent about the situation for all parties... yes.

Time is Precious

IDK the difference between Smeegal and Gollum, and IDC... that thing is a creep. And I have always thought Frodo was kind of a pussy until I saw Elijah Wood in Green Street Hooligans blowin bubbles

To make the most of your time, figure out what is most precious to you. It could be your family or your health. It is good to address those things to make your time worthy of your attention.

Precious is uniquely yours. (spot the knocks on the right...)

I guess I'm precious

Time is Money

Everyone in the corporate world has sat through a pointless meeting that could have been summed up in an email... but for some reason we cc'd Elon

But on the flip side, there is the expression Time well Spent which could mean a myriad of things. Working as a waiter at a retirement home, I got to hear the elderly recollect their lives while contemplating who to put in their will. It was interesting and they had a lifetime of experiences to tell, if someone would listen. I was kind of the grandson they never had.

Time is on my Side

It might seem like everything is going against you, but time suits up every second of every minute, of every hour, of every day, of every week, of every month, of ever year, in every life. Sometimes time plays good and time plays bad, but it is always rooting for you.

14 years ago I committed social suicide. I ramshackled my fraternity and tarnished my prestigious high school. My entire friend base was forever ruined, and I basically had to start from scratch. What was worse, is that I had to have everlasting memories of my friends that once were. Time came and went, waiting for a connection to reach out and repair a damaged end. Nothing came. Even during a cataclysmic, horrifying, life-taking event like the COVID-19 pandemic, I did not get one call to make sure I was okay. Can't go back in time. Sobering.

I encourage you to make a list of things you have done and things you want to do. It should be tangible accomplishments and experiences but it can also be characteristics that make up who you have become. This makes your mid-life crisis more manageable.

You can't kill time. The worst thing you can do is waste it.

And after all this time, lying in bed giving Big Ben the tiktok, I know theres a girl out there who wants me to give her the Stainless Steal
