When I was at University of Oregon, I purchased a dry-erase board, and structured my life around it. I had categories including: Today, Tomorrow, This Week, and The Future. Here I kept a daily reminder of my goals, and constantly reassessed to make myself better. The most important part of goals is that they are SMART:
Specific
Measurable
Ambitious
Realistic
Time sensitive
I posted this picture as the background of my laptop so I had the consistent reference of what I was doing, and how it translated to my future goals. During the pandemic, it was absolutely critical to have a framework of what would help me grow. To avoid wasting my time, I listed the things I wanted to develop from the couch and sweatpants. I have carried this board to guide my life and ascertain what I need to do to be the man I aspire to be.
