Once again, I had to go see the Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies play, this time it was basketball. I went into Hec Ed Pavilion and recognized a familiar face. Bill Walton, the voice of the Pac-12, was commentating the game. I recognized him immediately... he is hard to miss. He was a hero in Portland, playing for the 1977 NBA championship team. So after the game I went to go to try to meet him. There was a long line but I got in there. I asked him if he would sign my shirt. Bill said, "yeah, absolutely, take it off." I said "WHAT?" He said "yeah... take it off and I'll sign it." I am not shy, I know what I look like, so I didn't think twice and took off my shirt. He finished signing it, and I said "thank you very much. Alright now you take your shirt off and I'll sign that..." He put on this big, toothy grin, and said, "maybe next time." This is a picture of Bill and I mid fist bump after the game.
